Yeah... I kept trying to expand just the one take various ways but no dice. It probably was just an oversight while the were programming but it's kind of a big deal for those of us doing lots of takes (like guitar players working out leads). I also find it wacky the way when you have the layers hidden when you slice something it unmutes tracks below it. It was a real pain in the butt. I wasted a good couple hours trying to figure out a work around and if you hadn't of shown up, Steve I never would have been able to do what I needed. The idea of cloning or copying to a new track is obviously workable but as I said if I did that every time I'd have WAY too many tracks and that's a pretty big time waster and would mean having to make sure all the levels are consistent. This works for now but I can see why they are making a big deal out of the take lanes. That'll be a pretty major improvement over this weirdness.
