Musician's Friend's "Stupid Deal of the Day" is the IK Multimedia Mastering Bundle for $50, where it is originally $200. I'm tempted to buy this, but want to get other opinions first. Is it any comparison to Izotope Ozone?

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid/?icid=200510

According to the description, "This Mastering Bundle features 2 of IK Multimedia's most popular titles, the T-RackS Plug-in Mastering Software and the Classik Studio Reverb."

Thanks in advance!

I believe that the versions on sale are 32 bit.

From IK's site:

We currently offer native 64 bit versions of the latest AmpliTube 3, ARC System, and T-Racks 3 software. Users can download these 64 bit compatible versions from their User Area > Downloads section.

The rest of the IK plug-ins can be installed on a 64-bit system but as 32-bit plug-in, which is not taking advantage of any of the 64-bit processing. Through the user of various wrappers inside of popular DAWs (such as Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic), the software can be run successfully on a 64-bit OS.

Yes they are 32 bit...

But many swear by CSR...and I have T-Racks Deluxe, which is 64 bit, the Black 76 and the White 2A

I also have several 32 bit IK products that work just fine under Sonar X1 64 bit.

SampleTank
SampleMoog
SampleTron

Miraslov and SonicSynth are also STILL 32 bit....last update was Sept 4th of 2009....pretty sad...but they work well..

I don't have CSR...If I were spending 50 on a Reverb it would be Valhalla Room...

But that's just me...

Cheers!

The plug-ins from the mastering suite are 64bit. The mastering software is only 32bit. If you buy the mastering suite, you can download the 64bit plug-ins that are used in the mastering software from the site and use them in Sonar. CSR and the synths are still 32 bit.

To me, 50 Dollar is nothing for the quality of this plugs.
The singles like the white 2a la comp. and the (blue)vintage tube equalizer
are really beast´s.The same is csr.........and no,I´m not the sales manger of IK.
Basicallly we record here rock, funk, jazz aso.
Some musicians here ,which are creating hip-hop, electronic beats aso don´t like
IK´s mastering tools at all, they prefer OZON.

Is it the full T-RackS3 Deluxe?
This is one of my favourite plugins and I use it whenever I can.  It's worth it just for the VIntage Equaliser (Pultec clone) module which can sound great on individual tracks.
NB: There's also a very helpful book available and a Groove 3 tutorial video also.

I don't see the deal on the web site. Has it expired?

I have T Racks Deluxe it is 64 bit. No problems here. Also I wouldn't bother with this smaller bundle and wait out for a deal where they offer the deluxe bundle for $200. They do it every so often. Get in touch with IK Obi and he can keep you up to date about when IK is offering discounts.
