Feature Request: Meters dialog
 
Meter settings are project based. And 4 clicks to change a meter option is too many.
 
We need a METERs dialog similar to the widgets dialog providing checkboxes for all meter options for all meters.
 
And savable as presets. Cuz usually I want all meters the same.
 
Sometimes I want to hold peaks, sometimes not.
 
Change scale: 4 clicks for 1 meter. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

And connecting presets with screen sets would be way cool.

By right clicking on the meter in a track you get a drop down dialog to change that meters settings. It shouldn't take more than 2 clicks.


For changing all meters use the options menu and you also get a drop down dialog that takes only 2 clicks.

Now if you wish to change more than on parameter it may take more than 2 clicks.  A preset save could be a very useful addition.

3 clicks for most items, per item, per meter:

It takes at least 24 clicks to change all meter options.

A dialog is needed.

Yes I have made these changes to some of the templates I use.

If the meters dialog provided for saving presets then a preset could be connected to a screenset.   This would be way useful. 

That is not the way it works on my system. You can't see the mouse pointer but its using a cascade to access the options no click is needed except the first one that accesses the meter options and the second one to change an option. That is 2 clicks.  Its a little nit picking but it doesn't take a lot of clicks.

Also though you have every right to modify your meters as you please. I suggest keeping them the same from project to project. My reason is its easy to misinterpret a meter that is set differently and not realize it. My meters are set a certain way and I leave them that way.

I like the idea of meter settings per screen set...   I suppose they're not tied in at the moment?   Never really experimented with this.
 

Yes, in the track view each change takes 2 clicks instead of three.

So to change all the meters wili take me about 12 clicks.

I usually do not want the peak markers,....   distracting during most activities.

But, there are times. Would be great to have presets to change scale, peak holds, H/V,...

If these were global instead of project settings would be less of an issue.

But, still would like presets.
