@konradh... If you do take the plunge on Eco check out the thread I posted about my install process... http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2631764 Rail and a bunch of other helpful folk stopped in to make things easier. Now everything is up and running. And yeah, man... that Andy John's kit for SD3 is great. I'm sad I could not use it in BFD but I am however keeping an eye on the Andy John's Classic Kit's bundle over at Platinum Samples. It is currently $200 but I do believe it will pretty much destroy any other needs of mine for acoustic kits. Also there is a silly deal on right now for the ZildjianGen1 cymbal pack for $25 which works with BFD... http://www.audiomidi.com/...-Brainer/dp/B00439GVLQ It's usually over $200 and a bunch of the guys here on the forum have been raving about it. I cannot get it sent to Canada unfortunately but I'll figure something out. Cheers.

@bapu and twaddle... When I installed it installed both 32 and 64 bit versions. So the current download is indeed 64 bit... or 32 bit... whatever you want to use.

Hey Beepster,

you could get yourself a myus.com account - http://www.myus.com/  , it's a forwarding service, gives you a US address and phone #, and you can even get people to shop for you.

I'm in New Zealand, so I have one and it works out great for me. Their service is top notch.
I just jumped on the zpack, it's on it's way to Florida, then Myus.com will consolidate with other packages, sort customs declarations etc and ship to me here.

Premium account I think was about $60 or $70 for the year, and it's actually saved me well over $2000.00 just this year, by allowing me to get things from the US that vendors would not ship here for one reason or another.

BFD Eco was created for slower machines with less ram so the 64 bit thing is no big deal. It runs perfectly for me on windows 7 32 bit and has no issues with bitbridge.

To be clear though..... BFD Eco does have a 64bit version too. As does EZDrummer. About the only Drompler I own that is not (yet) 64bit is Jamstix (but there is a 64bit beta).

To be even clearer....... I was responding to someone who was complaining about the fact that there was no 64 bit version for any OS's pre windows 7 (windows vista in this case) I was trying to explain that I didn't think the 64 bit thing was a big thing.

Sorry to be such a pedant but....

The whole thread and nothing but the thread

Also as has been pointed out if you have anything that pre-dates windows 7 you can only run it in 32bit.  I think this is a bit of a misnomer to be honest as the only (or main) reason people were needing 64bit was to take advantage of the extra ram that could be used.  BFD Eco was created for slower machines with less ram so the 64 bit thing is no big deal. It runs perfectly for me on windows 7 32 bit and has no issues with bitbridge.

Does this work for anywhere on the planet Cliff?
Looks interesting if it's good for the UK too.

Don't forget to check the Tax/Duty page at: http://www.myus.com/en/ship-to-canada/

(select your country)...  check the deminimus value...  it's different for each country... the best is Australia where you don't pay duty if it's under a 1,000AUD, New Zealand is 400NZD, Canada is 20CDN, UK is 120GBP and also VAT over 18GBP

Cheers,

Rail
That is £12.00 and not £120.00 isn't it?
So including tax it would come to £30. I think that would have made it cheaper to buy it from the fx site whilst the sale was on as they were £35 each and £50 (?) for the Z-pack.
Oh well, sales are like buses, I'm sure they'll be another one along soon.
