I was already considering going X1 Producer when X2 was announced and now with this buy now and get a free upgrade promo going I just want to make sure that I don't get charged extra for X1 when I really only care about X1 right now. 

I'm unsure what you are asking. CW has never over charged anyone for anything.

As it stands now CW is saying buy X1 now if you don't have it and when X2 is released it will be free to you. I will have to pay the upgrade price that is yet to be announced. I am not in the slightest bit worried that it will be exorbitant.

Maybe you didn't get the email I got from Cakewalk a few days ago idk. I never said they overcharge for anything but this is the email I got.

Well I don't expect to pay more than $99 at the most so I haven't a clue what they are talking about. OK you have Studio that is a different matter. I would contact CW about what your cost will be. Remember yous is an upgrade to Producer as well as an upgrade to X2.

BUT you will save the $99 for the upgrade to X2 Producer...
If you don't buy it now and upgrade to X2 Producer from X1 Studio it will
cost you $299....that's $100 MORE....

How does that affect the upgrade now get the new version free deal? My plan was to upgrade to X1 Producer September 3rd when I have more cash on me. This upgrade deal just happened to fall in my lap but what I am really concerned with is not having to pay $300 for an upgrade to X1 Producer. That to me is absurd.
