Well I don't expect to pay more than $99 at the most so I haven't a clue what they are talking about. OK you have Studio that is a different matter. I would contact CW about what your cost will be. Remember yous is an upgrade to Producer as well as an upgrade to X2.

Which is why I asked since Cakewalk has been answering questions lately. Not sure why you are replying when you are clearly unaware of what is going on.

That is very rude to say the least. I am not sure what you expected but this is a users forum. Plus I gave you the facts as I saw them and it turns out that they are in line with what CW is saying.
It doesn't appear that X1 Studio is listed directly with an upgrade to X2 Producer.
Your best bet is to call CW sales and get your own quote.

From what I can gather -
The special pricing to upgrade from Sonar Studio to Sonar X1 Producer for $199 and receive Sonar X2 for free ends August 31st.

The special promotion of upgrading to Sonar X1 and receive Sonar X2 for free goes thru October 31st.

If you wait until Sept 3rd, it looks like you will be paying $299 for the upgrade.

So you only have 5 days left for the special pricing.
EDIT:
This is what it appears to me from the emails I received from CW.  I just upgraded a couple of days ago to Sonar X1 Producer from Sonar 8.5.3 Producer.

Cakewalk began a new pricing structure.
I would call CW to verify as sometimes their advertising is confusing.

Sorry that you're fragile but I am not being rude at all I am just very direct with what I want to say. In all honesty why answer a question you do not know the answer to or even worse reply to the topic with a I don't know or understand your situation? I was hoping for a CW rep to come in or someone else who has had this same question.

I might just do that because I am not really all that interested in paying to beta test X2 and I really am not interested in paying an extra $100 for software that is being phased out. Still hoping for a Cakewalk rep to see this and see if they have a direct answer though.

Not wrong at all or rude. But everytime I say something that can be viewed as potentially negative about Cakewalk I notice John is one of the first to come in and defend them in this case going at me when I asked a simple question he really didn't know the answer to. If you asked how do I play a C major chord and you don't know how the polite thing to do is to fall back and not say anything. At least that's how I was raised. It keeps people from hurting your feelings.
