Good evening to all! I'm new in the forum;) I need your help .... I recently picked up a hardware controller to work alongside the version of Sonar 8. Unfortunately I can not change the software so that the controller can work. I tried several ways, has already settled parameters to work with Cubase. Logic. Nuendo etc ... and a Midi Learn function, but unfortunately I can not understand how to set up everything. the controller is the new ICON QCon PRO (internal protocol Mackie HUI) thank you for any suggestions;) Walter

A little more detail of what you have tried would be helpful, not clear if you need a general overview of setting up controllers or specific help with something particular to the QCon. 

Have you set it up as a Mackie controller in the Sonar surfaces dialog?

in Sonar 8 studio i have Mackie control C4 Mackie CONTROL XT and Mackie control

I've set as the Mackie Control. but I'm noticing that I do not know how pressing the buttons on the controller to activate the plugin I installed Sonar or Omnisphere .... I thank you if you can give me some advice .....

Do you have Sonar 8 working? 

Also what computer are you using? ... specs please. Computer speed, memory, OPERATING SYSTEM, and SOUND CARD you are using. 

Sonar 8 is relatively old, but would still work ok.

just asking to give others the info.... I work totally in the box and do not have any outboard mixers or controllers..... 

You know,I recently bought an i-con i-control as an impulse purchase in Germany recently. (It was the placate myself after not buying a gorgeous resonator guita for about 500euro - a steal but couldn't justify the expense, so I plumped for this a a holiday treat. Bad decision. The install disc just isn't working and tech support doesn't exist - in fact the company's whole web prescence is very sketchy indeed, they may be out of business now? Anyway, I am using windows 7 64 bit latest update, sonar X1d producer. The other software installs off the disc (demo samplitude, jeebus!!) but the install manual bears and installer bear little resemblence to each other and when I click install I'm getting a file not found error. I'm think I may just have toput this down to experience. I found on the apparently dormant support website that on win7 it's just plug and play, but apart from leds lighting up , the only thing that works in Sonar for me is the joystick. So if anyone has any bright ideas, I'd love to hear them!!
