Anyone have any experience with this ?
 
It looks interesting to me, and something which could prove useful, I would probably jump on it if it was vst. It is a standalone type thing and you need to connect it to your DAW via a virtual midi cable. In the FAQ's it asks if it will be made available as a vst, but he says he doesn't think it would be possible, but is looking into it.
 

 

For those of you who don't know Sundog Scale Studio yet:
Sundog is a specialized standalone software for electronic songwriting (Win + Mac). It will help you to get rid of writer's block, find great chord progressions faster than ever, and develop basslines, arps, and melodies quickly. Sundog works with any DAW via MIDI.
Sundog is suitable both for novices (no music theory needed, work with your ears to find the good stuff) and advanced users (check out Chord Mods and Own Chords in 2.1).

Nothing but frustration. It was very difficult and non-intuitive.

The video skips the hard parts about making sense of how to get it to work. I only attempted the free trial, but I tried quite a bit. It wasn't worth putting in more time for me anyway.

I was intrigued and interested in it until I worked with it.

lol, well I am glad you came forth with that timely bit of info, I don't mind a bit of a learning curve, but not into continual battles with non-intuitive software. Thank you for saving me a bit f time and money, much appreciated.

Actually if you found anyone with any 'experience' with this you'd have probably got a very different answer.
 
Provided you know how to plug-in a midi cable, virtual or the long dangly kind, it is very intuitive, addictive and very useful.
 
It is a killer tool which is much better for being standalone rather than a VST in that you can find a myriad of ways of working with it with or without a DAW.
 
For the roughly £30 I paid for it it is a no-brainer add to anybodies music making toolbox.

I had entirely the opposite experience. Very non intuitive.

I had zero experience.

Yet, this page was hidden in plain sight all the time with DAW by DAW instructions and also instructions for both LoopBe1 and LoopMIDI virtual cables.
