Would a high voiced, airy, Joe Cocker with a sore throat sort of vocal work?

Daryl accepted so I have to give him a shot first. Let's see how it goes ok? You got second dibs. =)

Hi,

I was a pretty good tenor in high school, but gave it up! Too many hackers around the choir and in general, and I wanted more from it all.

If I were to do this today, it would sound more like poetry being read, with singing mixed in.  You might hear some of this yet!

I sound better reading my poetry, than I do singing, but singing can be improved and taught, while the feelings behind a poem, can't ... you just have to feel it and let it out, and that part is as easy, as anything I write here.

But singing, in the manner of conventional, don't ask me to do "Climb Every Mountain" from that musical! I guess, that I like one person that is just like this, though he could sing well, and his name was Vivian Stanshall ... a magnificent voice for poetry and speaking while also adding some singing.
