I've had 2...I started out with a Fostex VM200 which is a great little digital mixer with 8 ADAT channels, flying faders and fx processors.
I now have the Behringer DDX3216. I paid $500 for it brand new. Talk about bang for your buck!
Too many features to list, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you need a digital mixer with ADAT.

How does the Behringer mixer "sound"?

Btw., $500 sounds like a terrific price. How much does the ADAT add-on cost?

Yeah...it was a great price. I think it was a blow out price as they don't seem to be available in the U.S. anymore,
but you can still get the MSRP for other countries at Behringers web site, so I don't know...
It came with the TDIF interface but I got the 16 channel ADAT for $150.
As far as how does it sound, you can check out some of my tunes in my sig, but it sounds transparent to me...I get out what I put in.
Mind you, I don't have any experience with boards costing thousands of dollars as I just have a home studio setup where I do all the playing and engineering,
but for me, it's everything I need and then some.

the DDX3216 is discontinued but you can still find them for 600-700 bucks with the adat card installed.

I'll check and see if Behringer has a follow-up to the DDX3216. Thanks.
