Hey all, having a problem with V Vocal.

I've never needed to use it before so not sure if it has been a problem for the last 18 months or if it is new.

Basically, V-Vocal is completely greyed out. All of the 'Create V-Vocal Clip' etc is all greyed out and unselectable.

I searched and saw people had a similar problem so tried the following suggestions which have not fixed it.
- Used shorter clips
- Bounced audio to clip
- Reinstalled Sonar

The V-Vocal .dlls and files seem to be in the right place amongst all of the other shared dxi and vst plugins bundled with Sonar. I've been on for about three or four hours and just can't seem to find a solution to the problem.

Any other ideas?
Thanks.

You have to select an audio track or a section of an audio track first and then right click and the V-Vocal - Create V-Vocal options will not be greyed out.

Woah, slow down tiger!

Check to see if there's any layers on your tracks. V-Vocal doesn't play well with layers

Check to see if any clips are locked

If you do want to reinstall, make sure you do it properly.

Hi mate. Never use layers as I don't really know what they are.
As for locking clips, not sure what that is, how would I check
To reinstall I uninstall, then reinstall form my disc and then work my way through the updates. A long boring process haha.

Thanks for your help.

Switch to layer mode using this switch:

You might well have stuff recorded in layers whether you intended it or not - you'll easily see when you click the button.

If you DO have anything there, select the entire track and do a Bounce to Clip, then try -Vocal again

What version of windows do you have?

Reinstalling should be a last resort.

Do you see it in the Cakewalk Plug-In Manager? Its called Cronus (not V-Vocal) in the VST Audio Effects section.
