Mind you I'm quite broke at the mo, clients are fast with demands but slow with payments.

But more than a question of money with regards to X1 Exp vs X2, it's more a one of not having Sonar being moody.
I just patched it to "d". Didn't restart. But I worked with it for a few hours. No problems whatsoever.

Restarted. Loaded another project and it crashed twice while playing.
The only two different variables in this particular project is Dimension Pro and the fact that I had the SV open. (Usually I just use PRV for editing, but I need to print this one out so I was making sure I have decent notation before I export to my notation software.)

So it could either be Dimension Pro or the fact that I had the SV open? I don't know. Will have to run some 'tests'.

If you're using Sonar in a professional environment, plan ahead.

Create a backup image file of your boot HD (using True Image or Paragon) prior to installing X2.
This way... you can always quickly/easily get back.

Second, as has been discussed, install X2 side-by-side.
Use X2 for a few weeks... on non critical projects (I'd recommend using copies of projects)
Once you're sure it's running stable and you're comfortable with the changes... then use X2 full time.
