Does anyone know if it's possible to drop a wav file into an audio track, add a fade to the end of it and then create a copy of the clip in such away that its fade is also adjusted when the initial wav/clip's fade is adjusted?

I never tried doing that but you can try this:

use an envelope to fade the first clip, then copy

paste the clip

then when you come to adjust the fade shift-select the nodes at the end of each clip. Moving one should move the other.

(I don't know if it will work as I don't have Sonar in front of me to try it out first.)

can you not select both clips, hold shift and adjust the fade?
