I love people who say (proudly) they don't take prescription meds but poke smot and drink booze.  Frankly, I'd rather have my pusher have a phd or a medical degree than a community college degree.

Hi,

thanks Craig ... I needed that article, as the doctor loves his statins and he is too much of a bleeper to give a darn what happens to his folks!

you do realize that in the United States you have a choice of which doctor you go to, right?

You do know that I have tried to switch doctors twice ... and in both cases, I had to wait 3 months to get an appointment, right?

And sadly, your body can't wait for that with headaches and dizziness and miss work for that long!

I wish ... how I wish ... but this one doctor actually said to my face he wasn't interested in any more patients! I think he was only selecting women he could grope ... he was that age!

If you live in one of the 20 states where it's legal, chances are your pot supplier does have a medical degree.

Alcohol, OTOH, although frequently prescribed by community college students, has never been described in the medical literature as having medicinal value beyond its antiseptic uses. Except, perhaps, by traveling snake oil salesmen.

There's a reason they call them *spirits*.  I'm not one of those teetotalers who fault people who do drugs, I did them myself at one time.  I'm just saying that perhaps you can get a better high on prescription meds haha (j/k)  I haven't solved the Gordian Knot of addiction by any means, but I've always thought it'd be better to give addicts positive, ALTERNATIVE experiences that actually improve on a chemical high (e.g. better job or volunteering, or whatever).  Whatever it takes to make addicts EXPERIENCE something new, different, and positive.  Addicts are the sense-oriented type that Jung talked about.  Reasoning with them or even empathizing with them really isn't as effective.    You have to be flexible.  For instance, to keep ozzie osbourne off drugs you should give him some babies to sacrifice (positive experience) to Donny Osmond you have to take him to the circus (positive experience)..etc  perception is everything.
