Hi,

I get the USA Today a few days per week, and mostly it is for Sports and Scores ... even though the Internet is faster for these, sites like ESPN are just pure crap and badly designed and have way too many broken links ... and some stuff does not show up on various browsers ...

In general, news for me, has been ... a bit of browsing ... cnn.com and then msn.com, and then a perusal through news.google.com and/or news.yahoo.com

The only bummer is that Yahoo, used to list cartoons, and they took those out ... I guess that's 100 less artists to pay altogether, and who cares, and they will probably state that the cartoon pages only get 5 hits a day!

Typical big conglomerate BS ... rosebud!

Rosebud!

Rosebud!

I think that America and the news media are finally onto the big game of many places ... including fascist and dictatorships ... say nothing and report nothing, and make sure everyone's attention is on some knockers out there! How thrilling for your imagination!

The apotheosis of the information age, and its ubiquity has polarized the populace.  Everyone's in their own little simulacra/bubble.  I think there will be changes coming though once people realize they're not the final authority on everything--that's just a temporary thing.  At some point we have to realize that we need eachother  (community) to survive.  We're hard wired to be social.  We also need to realize that we need authority (newspapers/dictionaries/news companies) and that information is always in formation.  We don't know what we don't know (rumsfeld, sic) but we seem to be so arrogant that we think we're the final authority on things.  We have control over how we react, but we often *believe* we have more power than we do.  E. pluribus unum.  One among many.
