Hi
I thought I had fixed this but the V Studio 100 controller surface keeps disappearing?
I have to keep reinstalling the software for the controller surface??

This only happens when I switvch off the pc for the day and restart the next day or later in the day??

Any help would really be appreciated.

What version of Windows? Is the USB cable plugged directly into the computer or to a USB hub?

I also have this problem with Sonar 8.5.  But it only happens when I plug in another usb device that it happens (the vs 100 is still plugged in when I am using another device).  I was also going crazy reloading drivers but I found that if I close Sonar and uplug the vs 100 usb cable then plug it into a different usb port it works again.  I have two ports in the front of my computer so it makes it easier.  I do have to note that I never shut down my system so it's slightly different for me.  Sometimes I have to go into the controller settings to reset the vs 100 as a controller.  I know this is probably not the fix you are looking for and I don't know why it happens but at least I don't have to reload the drivers anymore.  Anyway, it works for me and it isn't too much to do to work around the problem.  I hope it all works out.

Hi

Thanks for the info.  Win 7 64 bit.  USB is plugged directly into PC..Did not have the problem before I reinstalled.  Anyways I will try using a different USB port and let you know how things work out. Once again thanks

If you turn of the vs100 before you close sonar, you will knock the 100 off-line and then have to reset it in sonar @ pref>control surfaces. The same thing happens if you open sonar before turning on the 100.

Also, once you have reset the vs100 in pref>control surf, the vs100 needs to be powered off/on (after closing sonar first, of course). hth.
