Friends:
I am attempting to reacquaint myself with Sonar X1, and have inserted 3 midi tracks into my project, and two softsynths.  One of them is session drummer 3, using the bass drum on a midi track and the other one used was Garritan Aria, with a string bass and a cymbal brush, both on separate tracks.
These Midi tracks have all recorded data, and sound great when played back.  However, the only way I can hear these tracks played back, is if I solo all 3 of them, then I can hear all 3 tracks.  I have output monitoring turned on for each of the tracks, and all e3 of them have MIDI data showing, and all 3 will play back, but only  when I solo each track, then I can hear them all together.  Does any one have any idea of what I might be doing wrong?  Thanks so much in advance!

The usual (non-buggy) reason for that kind of behavior is if there is some (other) track soloed. So when you say 3 midi tracks and two softsynths, are you referring to 5 tracks total? Is there some other hidden track (see the track manager)? When you operate the solos, do you see the solos operating automatically on the synth tracks? The largish \[S\] icon in the Control Bar’s Mix module should be unlit unless one or more tracks or buses are soloed.

Thanks so much for your reply.  There a total of (3) MIDI clips, not 5.  I will look through ALL of the tracks to ensure that non are soloed, thanks so very much again for your suggestion!

The "global" solo button in the control bar will not show either the buss' or the main's if they are solo'd.

Hit Shift + H to unhide all tracks.

This makes it easy to spot which, if any tracks, are set to solo

If the solo button is not lit, there is no track soloed, so there must be some other problem. If it IS lit, you should be able to click it to turn it off, thus turning off solo for all tracks.

Or you don't have ECHO on. Selecting or Soloing a track turns ECHO on.

Thanks so much, folks, for your suggestions!  I do have echo turned on, and I went through and unsoloed all tracks, and now it is working as expected.  Thanks again!
