Proteus VX has most of the same sounds as the DimPro Proteus 2000 Pack, but if you compare them the VX sounds better.

Proteus X vst does not work in Sonar for some reason. Great plug in I use it in Live.

Proteus VX works fine in Sonar 32-bit (Windows 7), but only if you run Sonar in admin mode.

Yeah, it's worth a try with the paid version. It looks exactly the same as the free one, so it may have the same problem.

They are the same software. The free one comes with less sounds neither runs in Sonar for me.

i have the Proteus pack for Dim Pro. I had it for a while and its the classic Proteus soundsets. The difference maker is in what instrument you load them in. naturally you can only load the programs in Dim Pro but each sample is available for use. i use all the drum and percussion sounds in Geist. get creative and enjoy!
