I am having a major problem with Sonar crashing on start-up. I have Sonar Expanded updated to d. Earlier today no problems, now I have this issue. I can open Sonar no problems. But, when I open a project here comes the crash. After that I cannot restart Sonar. I cannot manually stop Sonar through task manager. I have to restart the PC. OK, I am using Win 7 32-bit. I have a few plugs that are third party. (Addictive Drums, Focusrite Midnite Suite, and Organized Trio. I suppose this could be where I need to look. I still have the "Floating" demo song installed. That will open fine. Whenever I try to open one of my projects it's a no go. I did check a crash report. This is what it says, copy and pasted below. Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: AppHangXProcB1 Application Name: SONARPDR.exe Application Version: 18.1.5.535 Application Timestamp: 4f4d4fc3 Hang Signature: 9ca6 Hang Type: 32 Waiting on Application Name: csrss.exe Waiting on Application Version: 0.0.0.0 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Hang Signature 1: 9ca652c0fb1863656f1a3914b03dfb9d Additional Hang Signature 2: 8ec6 Additional Hang Signature 3: 8ec670d7387f3389eba8cbfced27bace Additional Hang Signature 4: 9ca6 Additional Hang Signature 5: 9ca652c0fb1863656f1a3914b03dfb9d Additional Hang Signature 6: 8ec6 Additional Hang Signature 7: 8ec670d7387f3389eba8cbfced27bace Does this help tell anyone what is going on? And, what is my next step? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, how do I make a post that is not completely in a block like the post above. To me this destroys the clarity of my post.

Don't use Firefox. Firefox used to be the best browser, but now Chrome is so much better and for some reason Firefox has turned into crap.

Chrome has its issues too. Every browser has quirks. Ever try putting a website together with CSS? The point is, a good website design (or forum software or whatever) should be tested in ALL browsers. I remember trying to fill out an online state tax form in Chrome once. It got to the point where you had to select a date, and the drop-down wouldn't work in Chrome, so I couldn't advance the form and had to do the whole thing again in Firefox.

Hi CL2Zero . . . have you tried opeing the offending project(s) while holding down the SHIFT key ?

You will then get prompts that will enable you to turn of (unload) certain plugins, and see which plugin may have corrupted the project.

Did not know about this little gem of info. I will try this and get back with my findings. Thanks a ton.

Apparently Addictive Drums is causing the problem. I did not load AD and then the project opened right away. Then I closed and re-opened as usual and the project opened. Like nothing was ever wrong. Doesn't make sense to me.

I learned of this on this forum, glad to pass it on, it's rescued a few of my projects from ruin.
