expanded and X2 are all in one now, hence the new modular pro channel, so cake are likely to still release optional modules for it.

My Guess would be pricing starts at $49 for those who already own expanded. X1 Production Suite is just a bundle, I think this was mentioned by cakewalk in a thread somewhere.

You could be accurate in your guestimate if they plan on charging $149 for Producer customers and $99 for Expanded customers. Expanded customers already paid $49 so another $99 would equal what Producer customers will have to pay. Let's hope they start things at $49 so Producer customers can easily upgrade at $99. It's really up to Cakewalk and how much they think X2 is worth and at what price point people are willing to upgrade.

Rasure..

After reviewing that again, I see you are correct..

But structure wise I don't think anything is changing...

Other then the ability to NOW buy modules without have to buy an Expanded extension.

I'm still inclined to believe that the entry price is going to be $99

It may be the same for both  Expanded and Suite owners...since technically they are the SAME Sonar X1

Either way, I came out ahead...LOL

Personally I'm glad they've put it all into one, got a bit confusing with all the installers!

Don't agree with $99 for already expanded users though, since they've already bought it, which means non expanded users will get expanded for the price of regular upgrade based on past upgrade prices. Guess we`ll have to wait and see when it happens.

Cakewalk can make plenty of cash by releasing new modules esp if there good emulations and on par with UAD, that will really change everything!!! LOL So far for me the modules have been pretty good (wasn't too keen on concrete limiter though)

Have to agree with that...it works...but not the greatest...

Well I've locked in my upgrade...so if I lose $2 no big deal...

If come out ahead...YAY for me...LOL

Either way, when you consider the upgrade price for Pro Tools, even $99 is a bargain...

Can't wait....wanna play...LOL
