Hello, I am trying to use automation on the effect REVERB.

However is not working. 

I have the tracks armed and enables to write automation, however it won't work :(

any help out there?

Maybe you've accidentally activated the offset-mode?
(you can see a + next to the volume value if you have)

If this is the case, just hit the O-key to deactivate this and you should be able to automate again..

I checked that. That is not the problem :( It's so frustrating!

oh.. hm.. yeah, i read your post again and saw it was about automating a plugin..
offset doesn't affect plugins.. =/

what reverb are you using?

have you activated the "write automation" in the plugin window too?
(that should be activated when you activate it on the track though...) =/

There is no write automation in the plugin window. I'm using sonitusFX REVERB

Are you by any chance running Sonar in 64 bit mode?

How would I go about checking to see if it's 64bit mode?

can you give us a more detailed version of the procedure when you try and record automation?

are you using any hardware to record the movements or are you changing the parameters with the mouse? 

..to record automation you should only have to:

1. activate write-enable on the track where the reverb's inserted
2. press play
3. start moving around the parameters in the plugin

when you do this you should immediatly see your movements being recorded on the track as automation lanes

FX Reverb is old.  Are you sure it responds to automation?
