I was considering upgrading to Win 10 but not sure it will support my Edirol FA-66 Firewire setup on my PC. Any input or guidance is greatly appreciated!

doesn't look like it..I just tried the W8 driver in Windows 8 compatibility mode in windows 10, and the installer jams when the unit is turned on, I mean it just refuses to continue with the driver install.

As this is an Edirol product, is there not a way to "hack" the .inf file of the W8 or W7 drivers as per what wa suggested for the PRC 800/500/300 series and which also worked for the SD20 ?

Just wondering aloud,

Cheers,
Jerry

Here is an update... I found a later driver for 8.1 and bingo ...runs nicely on W10   The W8 driver has a CW in the name, whereas the 8.1 version does not. Anyway here is the link for the 8.1 version....

I use the above 8.1 driver with my fa-66 as per joden and it works very well with Sonar Platinum on Windows 10.

Roland is pretty good at supporting their old interfaces. Even my old UA-25EX has drivers for WinX

Glad to hear that the FA-66 works in Win 8. I have one on hand that I can try on a spare computer.
