I’m in the process of convincing myself I don’t need O8N2:)

Good luck, I caved immediately . . . no regrets

The best advertisement I've seen for Ozone 8.

I already purchased O8. I couldn't buy the O8N2 package AND buy groceries last month.  (Food always wins)
But I'm still on the fence about Neutron 2.  I have the first version and realize the potential of the new version, but I have so many other DAW software programs and plugins on my "must-get" list, I have to figure out my priorities and what will help me most in creating the best sounding project.

.
N2A will help with that, give the demo a try and see what you think, it's fairly light, and does a good job on its own, then of course you can tweak away. When used with Tonal Balance Control you can access stuff, EQ for all your instances of N2A from the one instance of TBC which saves bouncing around from track/plug to track/plug. I'm just scratching the surface, there some nice stuff in O8A and N2A. I have no regrets.

Wouldn't it be great if, instead of static preset templates, the Sonar QuadCurve would set up a response depending on the preset curve  AND on the spectrum energy in the sound.

What I mean is, if I have a treble boosted Strat with the bridge pickup on, it makes little sense to apply a preset guitar template with yet more low-cut at 200Hz.

It took me until yesterday to cave  and because I hadn't "ghosted" my machine in a while I only played with one project with Ozone 8/Neutron 2 and the Tonal Balance Control.  What a difference even just the Master Assistant did as a starting point.  Pricey yes (though I was able to upgrade and get that discount), but I can see how it will save significant time getting to the point where the program starts.
