Nothing personal, and I'm not personally attacking any single individual.  But I am constantly amazed at how people can find anything and everything to complain about.   Cakewalk offers discounts, but it's not good enough for people.  They offer lifetime updates, the offer wasn't long enough for some people.  They offer updates every month, people complain that they are a few days late or the updates don't have enough "good stuff" in them.

Cakewalk offers some of the best DAW software on the market, and offers it's customers some of the best deals, including free third-party plugins.  I bet people would still find a way to complain if they gave it all away for free.

No one is forcing these sales on you.  Either take the offer or find another software company that you think offers better deals.  But PLEASE enough with the ****ing and complaining.  Cakewalk is a fair and reputable company that I've never known to try and cheat their customers.  But they are however a commercial company that obviously needs to make a profit to continue selling their products.  Sales and advertising are the best ways to continue to make profits.  This isn't a charity organization.

I'm happy with Cakewalk and SONAR, but I'm still glad I got the lifetime updates when the offer came.  Turns out to be a heck of a deal really.

You always need to flame someone who disagrees with you?

Yes but in this little corner of it, you are expected to conduct yourself appropriately. Please refrain from personal attacks.

I would have paid anybody $250.00 for a daw that could make the timing grid follow pre-recorded free style (sloppy) guitar tempo. Cakewalk did. Via Melodyne essential, but they did. easy peasy too.

I'd rather be a happy, well-adjusted person, who doesn't mind kissing a little arse, than a negative complainer who enjoys putting other people down.   Life's short, enjoy it while you can! (Or at least let other people enjoy it)

Hi there:)

I'm updating Cakewalk since I've found Shareware Version 0.97, so I would like to have Updates for free now

Just a joke, but 250 € every year is too much I think!

I just got the newest version of Steinberg Wave lab Pro upgrade for $59.00 Steinberg Cubase 9.5 was only $99.00 and My Pro Tools Perpetual license annual Updates are only $99.00 . WTF  I guess Henry thinks his software is worth as much as his Guitars .  Sonar Crashes every day ,,,, Why?  its less compatible with third party plugins than any other  DAW that I have . Go ahead and  keep turning up the heat and I will jump out of the boiling water .  Until Sonar Platinum is $99.00 a year I will just go back to Pro Tools or Cubase or Studio One  I can afford that. Beat detective smokes audio snap anyway. If I Open and close 4 projects in a row my Sonar crashes until I reboot the computer. I don't support Steven Slates monthly subscription model either ...... subscription models only benefit the companies ..... Sorry but if every plugin and DAW I use is a monthly lease I would be paying $800.00 a month to rent software . F___ that.
