Interesting thread.  As someone alluded to already, it's a bag of tools to suit various peoples' needs, but it still gave me pause for thought at the sheer quantity of things I don't use.  Most I don't need, or have tried and don't like and there must be some that may be helpful if I took time out to learn them better.

I do not compose in Sonar it just became a pain without rewire but its a great tool for mixing audio stems for me so I use it for what its good at and skip the bloat that is in it now. I will likely upgrade to X2 but doubt I will upgrade again for at least 5 or 6 years

Hey, one man's bloat is another man's must-have feature.   Or to put it in Neo-like terms...  instead, realize the truth - there is no bloat.    Just sayin'...  
 

Mod Bod, What's wrong with Session Drummer?  Just curious since I like it and am surprised you would never use it, at least for variety if nothing else.

I doubt I will use Matrix view, but who knows?  I may go through a Rave phase.
