These four soft synths used to be part of NI Komplete, but were discontinued. The show up in sonar, but when I try to insert them, I get an error message: "Failed to insert soft synth. May have been improperly installed." The stand alone versions work fine, and I had them working fine on a previous computer that was also running win7 64 bit. Anyone have any clues? Thanks.

Whenever I've had trouble with NI synths in Cake products in the past, NI was pretty helpful in resolving the issues. I'd definitely try shooting them a question. Good luck.

Did you re-scan your VSTs?

OP says it's DXI.

I'm not sure that DXI works anymore on Sonar x64,

but older NI plugins works just fine as VSTi, you might want to focus on have those version working, (make sure you also have them installed as VSTi, in the right vstplugins folder, so it's recognized by Sonar)

HTH,

Cheers !

32 bit DX will not work in 64 bit Sonar, X1. That goes for DXi too. They can be wrapped to VST though.

I am pretty sure you can use the old NI Akoustic Piano in the free Kontakt 5 player.

I have B4 II, that is a 32 bit VSTi and works in Sonar 64 bit as long as you don't want to the patch names in the track header for anything but the default bank. (its the same using JBridge)

Could this be one of those issue where you have to install as admin or something like that has mentioned here before? As for DXi or not, I think you have the option to install as DXi, VST or both.
