I am useing Sonar5 Pro and the metranome is bleeding into some of my tracks. It seems to be tracks that are direct inputs,(IE) bass, and accoustic guitar tracks. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what can I do to solve this problem

Welcome to the forum!

Is there a mixer applet that can route your output back into the input — this might cause this type of problem. This is very common for Sound Blaster users, but very rare for professional audio adapters like the MOTU 24IO. If your metronome is on a track that has aux sends, those aux sends could still be active even if the track is muted — check the signal flow diagram in the manual or the help file.

Make sure that if you step up to a condenser microphone (nice and sensitive) with less than high isolation
headphones, you can get the click track to be picked up my the mic via leakage from your headphones.

You can even get some of that click track in a mic pointed at your acoustic guitar if the click is hot enough
and your headphones not iso enough.

I don't know if this helps but if has happend to me this way.

I am having the same problem. I am using a Roland Quad Capture as my interface sound card. I have it on an audio track for a guitar. Any ideas?

How are you recording? Have you eliminated the possible headphone-to-microphone -leak?

Hi, at this point I am just plugging my guitar into the left channel  of the quad capture, setting the input on the audio channel to stereo 1,2 to record the track in stereo. The metranome's output is set to the master which is set to the quad capture stereo1,2 output. I'm not using a mic at this point so it's not being picked up that way. I have also unplugged the guitar and just hit record and it records the click. I can see the sin wave

That will only record the left side of a stereo track and you won't be able to pan it. Just select the left (1) or right (2) input and record a mono track and it will work better. 

I can get it to record in Mono or Stereo using the input 1 on the Quad capture. The problem is the metranome recording itself on the audio track. recording in mono does seem to reduce the volume of the click but it is still there, you can hear it where there is dead space.
