So...I have a Toshiba laptop running Win7. just about EVERYTIME I turn my computer off and re-open a project I get the "Unexpected error code hr:23596261, file hresult:3221225747" basicly making my music that I worked HOURS on gone forever...I've serched all over the internet and found not a single solution. can someone PLEASE HELP!!!! I'm running Sonar 7.02

Do you have mismatched bit depths in the audio files in your projects? I had a similar problem with projects saved as bundles when I upgraded to Win 7. The culprit was some files were recorded/rendered at 44/16 and others were 44/24. Try opening the project in safe mode, bypass all your plug-ins and you should at least get the song to open, if any files are "missing" the bit depth mismatch may be your problem. I believe this was an issue with Microsoft where they changed some things in Win 7 that caused problems that Cakewalk didn't fix until version 8.5 or so.

P.S....Safe mode didn't work....I got the same message

Just reinstall SONAR 7.02

You will get the same message with Safe Mode, but the project should still open unless it's something far more serious.

X2 is not going to fix this problem and it won't be out for a couple of months so you might want to reinstall Sonar 7 for now.
