Half-a-Brain
Hola, by re-installing X1d Producer Expanded from scratch on a freshly formated HD, I UN-CHECKED the option to install Guitar Rig 4 LE 'cuz I had already downloaded the upgrade to Guitar Rig 5 Pro to install, so later when going to start a project the 'Insert From Track Template > Audio Track Templates > Guitar > [Nice Clean Guitar]' I got a 'Missing Plug-in' warning - letting me know that GR4 wasn't there, duh. My question is - Do I have 2 install GR4 LE since it came with X1, or since my older GR4 Pro version is better, can I just go back to the other HD and copy the GR4Pro.dll file and paste it in the '...CW\Vstplugins' folder or will that screw-up the GR5Pro that is already installed ? Thx

It seems to me one good option would be to replace any instances of GR4 with the GR5 Pro you downloaded. Or am I not properly understanding your question?
When Sonar informs you of a "Missing Plug-In", doesn't it give you the option to either replace it with a plug of your choice OR simply let Sonar put a "place-holder" plug in its place?

Copying the GR4Pro.dll from your old machine is not going to affect GR5 but it probably will not be seen by the template either. Pretty sure the LE version is a different dll.
If you want to use the template as configured you need to install the GR4LE.
You could modify the template to use GR5 or just create your own.
