I attempted to update the 44VSL driver to the latest version. I tried uninstalling the old driver per instructions in the Presonus KB and then reinstalling using the installer, and also tried by just running the installer by itself.

Each time 4 drivers showed up in both the playback and record options in Sonar:

*AudioBox ASIO Driver Mic/Inst 1
*AudioBox ASIO Driver Mic/Line 3
AudioBox VSL ASIO Driver Mic/Inst 1
AudioBox VSL ASIO Driver Mic/Line 3

The ones with the * were selected by default. The other ones were the old drivers designation. I even tried deleting the AUD.ini file to see if that would get rid of the olrder driver designations and it did not. I am pretty certain I removed the old drivers first, but I had to revert back to them as I was getting the "rice krispies" (snap-crackle-pops) where before I did not.

Have any other Sonar users experienced any issues with the Audiobox drive update?

I have the same audio interface and did not see this when I updated my drivers (Jim, if you read this, I know I didn't have to do this... :) ). I *did* have to update Sonar to X1d in order for the interface to work properly in ASIO mode. Regards, Dan

I've done just about everything I can and I can't fix it. I've been on the phone with presonus for 1.5 days trying to figure this out. they're stumped. They've escalated my case to qu/testing. I hope to get an update by end of next week. what a pain. Has anyone else found a workaround?
