Just an inquiry  to ask bout per project files saving
any positives or negatives?

  Always use them. Never had a problem with them. Keeps data well organized. Easy to backup. Easy to move around.

Keeps all your project together, makes sharing stuff easier, takes less disk space than bundles and is recommended by Seth and Brandon in their Webinars.

There is no down side to Per Project Folders. 

One thing that makes per project folders so useful is being able to find audio files. 

Before they were introduced Sonar would put all audio into a single folder no fun in that trying to find a single audio file.
One can still opt for the single folder option but there is simply no good reason to do so.

In regards to school network and use by pupils... The projects folder is located on drive E: ... Could there be any problems with this and using per project folder? Am i right in thinking that similarly named files will have to be avoided?

  Per Project Folders can be located anywhere the computer has access. They do not have to reside in the default project location. Each folder has to have a unique name because they are actual directory names. A folder can contain any number of related CWP files.

Another tip for using them is if when you have a completed project with all sorts of rejected audio cluttering up the Audio folder.

Selecting 'Save As' and choosing a new folder as the location and making sure 'Copy all Audio with project' is checked you will be left with a brand new folder with ONLY the Audio that is currently being referenced in the project and all the redundant takes and rubbish are left behind.

You can then delete the original folder, once you have checked everything in the new one is working, knowing that you've only kept the good stuff that is actually being used.

One of the benefits of NOT using per project Audio is when you've copied the same audio tracks to several projects then there is some purpose in having a common Audio folder for those projects.

Again once you've finished you can use the 'Save As' method to make sure everything that is actually needed for that particular project is there while the original Audio is still available to the other projects that maybe still using it.

IOW it's good to have the option.
