Got a new one finished, at least I think so...

This time around it's my attempt at a larger than life, sci-fi/action type synth based theme.   And in the end they all sink slowly to the bottom of the ocean.

Hi Steve, this has a good groove but personally would like a bit more melody. for instance that synth at 2:57.

Thanks, Rikkie.

Ya know, I kept going back and forth about whether to add a vocal line of some kind or synth melody.  There's a lot going on so just wasn't sure... but I will certainly keep it mind!

Interesting.  I would also like some vocals or lead guitar or something.  That having been said it did keep me interested till close to the end and much of the electronica posted doesn't.  You know, it's just not my favorite.  I love some of the dance stuff, though!  I think you did a good job on this one.

I think you nailed this.  I understand what Rik and Warren said about melody, but it's not always about melody.  There's enough texture in this to carry the weight, imho.  The point/counterpoint is quite interesting, as well.  This would be a good track for some type of video, as I think it's weighted more for imagery.  Cool +

Production is top notch.

Very clean, big sounding mix! Not sure what kind of a melody would fit this, I kind of agree with Lynn that it really isn't needed as a soundtrack piece.

@ Warren: I completely understand the style aspect, so certainly appreciate the compliment.

@ Lynn:  Thanks! That is sort of what I was going for, like a movie scene.  Phrases like "enough texture in this to carry the weight" and "it's weighted more for imagery" let me know that the intent is peeking through.

@ Ed: For this sort of style, whatever the current name might be, I know production is very important.  So "top notch" from the Bapu is welcome.

@ Dan: Thank you.  I was certainly going for "big", thinking along the lines of a Michael Bay/Transformers type thing.  I haven't completely nixed a melody/vocal part, but soundtrack was my original intent, so...
