I couldn't help thinking of Windows 10 while reading, and this is a vision that keeps me on win 7.

Do songs made on PT13 degrade over time, like those stored on "tape"?  That is a MUST... but if they don't give you configurable quality control degrade degrees, I'm gonna stick with Sonar.
 
Fantastic release!  It's gonna be hard to stay on this state of the art platform...
 
Paul P, I don't think this equates to W10 at all... and W10 is more geared to DAW land... they're focusing on audio now like never before.

What I meant is that Windows looks to be headed in the same direction as described above : towards a situation where we have to pay for each function we want to use.  Either by buying it, or renting it.
