How typical is this?
 
I'll bet 10,000 chickens that if you were a "SENATOR" this issue would be resolved promptly.
 
Can somebody explain to me this disparity?

Thank goodness I'm slowly getting able to function. I can't speak but  I'm off antibiotics now and feeling better. I need to somehow get my situation to the public. This affects all Vets,disabled, and elderly dealing with government agencies. What's going on is a disgrace. If I put my new rent my in perspective. $1000 income - rent $588/ $2000 income -rent $1,176 / $ 4000 Income - rent $ 2,352. I live in a slum with no maintenance or security. My car has been broken into 5 times($350 damage) and all my chairs and table from the front of the apartment have been stolen.  Let me repeat they are the ones that set my rent for the last 5 years. Now they are saying they have recalculated and I own for now and the last 5 years. They know the income I get per month and that's all I get. unforgivable! I'm getting as many people to help me move as I can but I don't have a lot of time.  If you know a Veterans Group or agency that can help me bring this to the pubic domain let me know. 

Senator is no help. Have you tried your local representative? Call the local churches, they usually share information because some people go from one church to the next and try to live off them BUT... there should be help there. I know it isn't easy to ask for help but, you are and that is one place you should look. It does not matter what you believe. People are people and churches help people, not just Christians.
Shoot for the stars. Call Donald Trump. Call Zuckerberg. Call Bloomberg. Call anyone and everyone who has money. You're a vet, bring that first. That you have been sick and are about to be a homeless vet. ASK... the worst they can do is sat no. Go to your local democrat and republican HQ. Ask there. Go to all the campaign HQ, ask there. You never know.
Don't forget the representative's Washington office and local office and the Churches, call one and ask if they work with other churches. Call another church and tell them who you've talked to at other churches so they wont think you're trying to scam them (lots of that going on).
Please let us know what happens. Don't just go away, be sure to check it... but I hope that what looks like a bad thing turns out to be a good thing... sometimes they do.
