I have Sonar Platinum installed on 2 computers. One is running Windows 10, the other one windows 8. When I recently upgraded to my new Windows 10 computer, I configured it with the same programs and settings as my current Windows 8 PC.

I'm having an issue opening a VST plugin on my new computer in Sonar. This particular VST program requires administrator rights to function correctly when opening in a DAW. It's a standalone version of NI Kontakt 5.6.8. No issues on my Windows 8 computer, but it won't open on my new computer. Error message is in Russian...lol. I've done basic trouble shooting, like checking antivirus settings, VST folders etc, with no results. I don't think it's a windows 10 issue, because everything else is working OK. I'm assuming the issue is with Sonar. I have searched some online forums with no results so far. I have also contacted cakewalk tech support over
a month ago, and have not received a response to this issue. It's very disappointing to pay monthly for a premium product,
and get no support.

Have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling Kontakt?  Maybe the installation just had a hiccup.
Also current version is 5.7.1 you might try updating it.

BTW none of my Native Instrument plugins require Admin mode to run.

and you don't open stand-alone version in a daw... have you posted on the NI forums? does it work OK in stand-alone mode, that is, outside the daw?
