I have not noticed that anyone has been talking about Studio One anymore...is that due to the stability of Sonar are they still things wrong with X1?

Have we had any updates on what is making waves within the industry?

I noticed that there has been a long long debate on Pro tools but is the real champion of the DAW world here finally, the "all things to music studio's???"

I wouldn't read that much into it. We are far away from the previous release of either product, so the talk has died down. By now people have checked out the demos and are busy working with whatever product was for them. Next release of either product, I am sure there will be plenty of talk again.

I must confess I was hoping someone would start another Sonar Vs another DAW of your choice here thread as there hasn't been one this week yet.

Now I'll just settle back and enjoy......

Studio One seemed interesting to me,  but it lacks two features...staff view and the ability to score to pic...so a non-starter.  Isn't that ironic!

DP 8 is suppose to be ready for windows,  but I checked out a couple of forums and DP7 users are complaining about bugs and problems much the same way people do here or even worse.

So whats a DAW user to do???

If Cake could add a mastering solution and a true wave editor to Sonar, that would do it for me.
I really do like how Studio One addresses that. The Melodyne integration is cool, but I feel Cake will do something even cooler in that regard.

I was hoping that Roland V-Vocal would be taken a farther!!!!!!!!   I think its awesome.  They definitely have the technology.  They should come with a solution that competes with the Vari-Audio in Cubase!  People rave about those tools.

I have seen so much praise for Vari-Audio in Cubase; "better than autotune, melodyne, anything you can imagine."

Not real interested in a debate but Studio One v2 has gotten a lot of good press lately.
