  • Scrolling through drum maps....painfully slow

Figuring out how to set up a drum map for the first time. The list of drum maps is displayed in a huge long menu that you cannot quickly scroll through with your scroll wheel  - the only way is by clicking the up or down arrows, which scroll through the list at a painfully slow speed. Is there another way to flick through these drum maps, or is this a joke on the part of the developers?!

Oh and I might add, the scroll arrow isn't even visible on my 2nd monitor, which apparently doesn't have a high enough vertical resolution to fit the whole menu on. Therefore it is completely inaccessible.

Can someone please confirm that these are just quirks in the trial version of Sonar X1, and that they are fixed in the full version?

Hit an alphabetical key - pressing P will take you to drum maps beginning with P.

I saw something somewhere that talked about editing the list, I think. I know that is tons of help - something, somewhere....

Check out the drum map link at the bottom, should also mention about removing the unwanted maps from the folder they are in,
Section 6

Mentions very little except you can delete them. A more thoughtful approach would be to cut unused maps and paste them in a backup folder (and zip them up if space is a concern) so they are there if needed but will not show up in the Drum Maps dropdown making scrolling a little easier. Frankly, I don't see hitting one key like P to be an issue/ dealbreaker.

i had put this originally thought it mentioned that, but another user kindly made and had edited some via the PDF  ,Yes golden rule always back up into another folder, the ones you remove. I will have to read back over the PDF its been a while thanks for pointing that out.

it can come close, for me, to breaking the deal -  I don't like the keyboard in my workflow.  I have a wireless one, but resent hauling it around the room. The mouse fits in my pocket and can be tucked into all kind of places, but the keybd has to be set down somewhere. Then I forget it and have to go back over there and get it. It's not long before I get mad and don't feel all that musical anymore...
