I'm still working with 8.5 Producer, which I love.  I never got around to upgrading to X1 because it came out when I was in the middle of a project and I didn't want to learn how to use it while simultaneously recording a new album.
 
Anyhoo, we're coming up on recording our next album this Fall and I started going through the things I wanted to upgrade with the studio setup, which included moving to X1.  I check the page and, lo and behold, X2 is about to come out.  Top it all off, it says that if I *purchase* X1 between after August 1st, it includes an automatic upgrade to X2.
 
However, it doesn't say whether I get that automatic upgrade to X2 if I'm upgrading to X1.  Can anyone clarify for me whether this deal includes upgrading as well as purchasing?

Dunno, it says this:

"This offer applies to all customers worldwide and includes retail, academic, and upgrade purchases"

On this page

So it kind of looks like it.

Awesome, I kept reading the top of the paragraph and was paying attention to the "purchases" part.  Thanks very much!
