I've been working Sonar hard all summer long.  Today I lost the ability to paste.  I re-booted a couple of times.  I emptied the pic cashe folder...

still can not paste ....

8.5 is on my system and works fine.  8.5 can paste X1 can not.

What Do I DO Next?

I need to be able to copy and paste...

Dang... that is no good. Any new updates or changes to the system? Now this is a toss in the wind but are you copy/pasting with the keyboard? Any other CTRL key options working? Essentially I'm saying check your keyboard if it is only happening on that binding. Details... as many as you can provide.

Fixed it.    I did not see a box that needs to be check on the right hand side of the special paste (paste events).  Somehow I uncheck it  and somehow I've never noticed this before....

wasted a whole evening on this (3+ hours) testing and reloading Sonar,  unloading  Panue's mods...man what a waste.

Back to work!

PS,
thanks Beepster!

OK So how do I edit the thread title to say "fixed"?

I feel like a knucklehead today,  can't figure anything out

Go to "Message Options" > "Edit" on your first post and you'll be able to access the title. Cheers.

For future reference, I think I know what happened.

When you make a selection which doesn't contain any Track Events (e.g. just automation, or something else) Sonar will remember your selection so the next time you make a selection which does contain Track Events, the option will be de-selected.

I hope that makes sense!

Yes,  you are very close.  I have cut and paste key-binded and perform these tasks quickly without really looking any more.  I would copy correctly, but pasting--a box was accidentally unchecked and Sonar was remembering this.  I unistalled and reinstalled Sonar and it still remembered the box was unchecked.  When I became frustrated I slowed down and looked closer at what i was doing i saw the unchecked box...stupid, stupid stupid!

thanks!
