I am running a relatively new machine and I apparently did not install Dimension Pro at the time of X1 installation.

Now I have gone back to my download page for Beatscape and Dimension Pro-
Beatscape installed fine, but Dimension Pro is not recognized by Sonar.

In control Panel, Dimension Pro does show up as a program that I could uninstall- so it's in there somewhere.

Anyone know what this is about?

ps- anyone a big Beatscape user?
Is it cool?

You have to scan for it through the browser I think. I did it once for something but I forget the process. Someone else might be able to help. I'm in the middle of something right now but if it isn't resolved later tonight I'll try to dig up the thread that helped me. Scanning for new VSTs is detailed in the manual though and you can search the forum on hoow to do it in the meantime. Cheers and good luck.

hmm... and try opening it VIA the Start > Programs menu and Run As Administrator. Did you go through a registration process? Maybe that's the problem. Tell us exactly what you have done so far. Cheers.

You need to totally get rid of DP 1.2 before installing 1.5 - and that includes removing registry entries.

I tried uninstalling all of it including the regedit instructions provided by cake, but 1.2 has never been installed on this new machine so the registry entries were not there.

After reinstalling it, I noticed there was a desktop icon for the standalone version.  I ran it as admin and successfully registered DP.  Then i thought for sure that Sonar would see it, but no luck.
I have ran vst scan many times AND checked to see that the folder contained the .dll file and that that path was included in vst settings.

Still no dice- wth?

again, this machine is new so DP has never been installed until now (as far as i know).

Hi, Blix. I dug around and the fix was actually for loading a new kit into Session Drummer so I don't think it's gonna work. Essentially it was doing a scan in SD3s program browser which then found the kit. I think you are gonna have to call Cakewalk tomorrow for help. It's free, 1-888-CAKEWALK. Cheers.
