I follow all the instructions below To use pattern-based step recording 1. Click the Record button and keep the button pressed for a bried moment until the pop-up menu appears, then choose Step Record. The Record button changes to . 2. Click the Step Record button to open the Step Record dialog box. 3. Set the insertion point where you want to start recording. 4. Click in the Pattern field. All works fine up to here. I put the cursor in the pattern field and press 1 on top row of keys screenset 1 comes up as it would in most normal conditions. When I press the number 1 on the keypad, no number is entered into the field. Behaves like this with num lock on and off. Thanks. Paul
