Sonar help says, "The first command, Fade/Envelope, lets you lets you fade in or out...". In typical Cakewalk help style, this does not say anything at all about where to find this command. This is the part of Cakewalk that is ****ed and that makes me mad: no explanation where to find a command. Can someone tell me how to get to this command? Thanks.

Found it. Select the clip, go to Process | Apply Effect | Fade/Envelope. In my case, I needed to split the clip and just fade a small portion at the end. Glad I found it but their help is still ****ed in this respect.

It's possible to slip fade the end of a clip. Move the cursor to the end of the clip towards the top and it'll turn into a triangular shape. At that point you can click and drag the fade in.

That's non-destructive as opposed to the option that you used which is destructive although you do get more fade shape options with it.
