It's NOTHING like melodyne at all. There are no similarities whatsoever.
I'm hoping it will compliment Melodyne. I find the DNA technology to be fun and with the right track can do very creative things. I once changed the bass and horn lines in an excerpt from Brick House as a test, and while not all the results were perfect, it wasn't all that bad.
I'm picturing R-Mix being along the same lines, but instead of changing melodies or copying blobs for harmonies, it'd be more like plugging a mixer into a stereo track and using its faders, pan knobs, EQ and inserts to adjust each channel. I can dream...
