This reminds me of when V-Vocal was released and they said it could convert audio to MIDI and people were saying they wanted to be able to hum or whistle into a Sonar and convert it to MIDI to create their masterpieces. What were they smokin'?

Now people are threatening to disassemble "Axis Bold As Love" so they can remix it to make it better. Then what? "Dark Side of the Moon", "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway", "Abbey Road". Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!(read a la Howard Dean). I guess the drugs must be getting a lot stronger.

I pre-ordered R-Mix due to the "excitement", paid $199, and haven't used it since the first hour of playing around.  It was a big disappointment to me.  It's fine for removing vocals (other instruments, not so much) for making a karaoke version, maybe--but I found it very limited in what it could do.

COMPUTER MUSIC Magazine was similarly underwhelmed:  http://www.musicradar.com/gear/all/computers-software/plug-in-fx/r-mix-547724/review

As a plug-in for x2 I'm sure I`ll find it useful, really good demo video here
