This is by far the coolest marketing trailer for any software product ever. It's futuristic as it can get. It's 2012 but to the Cakemen it's 2112.

Yea it´s good!
But I have to inform their marketing team a simple rule: never put anything negative to a promo.

Hmm... looks interesting however I have a few concerns which I'm hoping aren't going to be a problem for me. And this isn't necessarily meant to be griping but I see this being something that will irk me quite a bit.

So I bought the Production Suite at the start of May. I paid full price for it. Shortly after that (like the next month) all the crazy deals came out. Okay, fine. Just my stupid luck I guess. Now there is going to be a full PAID upgrade. Well I've already blown my budget for DAW stuff. It's gone. No more money except for a few necessities that were on my original shopping list.

My concern is... what's gonna happen to a customer like me? Is X1 going to continue to be supported? If so that's fine. The second issue is if I had known there was going to be a whole new version coming out I probably would have waited. I've essentially paid full price for something that will be outdated after only a few months. Is this going to be considered when X2 comes out? I will be very very disappointed if I get shafted here. It'd be different if I happened to get on board with those deals or had any inkling that X1 was at the end of it's life cycle but I based my purchase on the info available at the time.

Again, not trying to gripe here but it would nice to know what, if anything, can be done for someone in my situation.

I saw someone up thread mention that if they JUST purchased X1 the upgrade will be free. Is that factual? By me buying it in May at full price would I be included in this? I have barely started using the software due to the massive learning curve and hardware conflicts that had not been documented. I understand this is how things work out sometimes but it seems I have basically made my purchase at the absolute worst possible time.

Anyway... I hope everyone is having a good day. Cheers.

what I need is a way to switch effects or channels for real time playing live were a snap shot of channels is activated or deactivated as needs be. For instance I'm a guitarist and I want pod farm live on 2 channels and at a point in the song I want to hit a midi foot switch that sends a signal activating amplitube on a 3rd channel and guitar rig on a 4th channel while deactivating the podfarm channels. If I am using ampsims to record then this is a way I can control the tone live and use the same tone I recorded with. another foot switch might bring on a separate instance of podfarm and a live feed from my roland GR 55. This process would enable us to tour with the same tones we record with and this is a must have feature that we need to have if we are going to use X2 to record guitar parts.

Whoa I'm kinda pumped! Can anyone or has anyone out all the new features that go waaaayyyy too fast I tried pausing and reading each frame but it went too fast and it got irritating.Thanks. I'm excited about new plugins,I have been disappointed with the prochannel plugins(they are OK but like the leveler doesn't do alot, maybe its not supposed to?)the compressors aren't the best either,it would be neat if they had more third party plugins, and besides zeta 2 I was disappointed with guitar rig 4(guitar rig5 is better)perfect space never use it,rapture and dimension pro are complicated, true piano isn't that great either. And I don't mean to sound like a hater cause I am not, sonar is my favorite and I would use it more but unlike reason6,ableton,maybe others you cannot use computer keys to play software instruments and I cant get a portable midi keyboard and I have to work out allot, maybe it has something to do with all they key mapping functions but bieng able to turn it on and off would be really cool.It seems like common sense to me but, when I am out I have to use ableton cause I cannot play my software instruments on sonar. Thanks if anyone helps me

Oh and although the new kits for session drummer are more suited towards rock Id like to see tons more drum loops(like how toontrack does it)and make the kits the big rock/metal/punk rock sound.

Ok Im done complaining

Really?  The whining about "I just bought X1--it's so unfair!" is starting already?

For the record:  I only just moved from 8.5 to X1 in late May.  I also bought R-Mix (yechh!!) for $199 a month or so ago, which appears to be included in X2.

They seemed worth it at the time.  That's the breaks.  I expect some "late adopters" will get a break, and that's nice for them--I don't expect it for myself and didn't at the time I purchased these products.

Really, the whining is tedious.

Yanno what's annoying? Is people attacking other people for asking legitimate questions. If you don't have an answer then don't reply. Thank you.
