its easy to use,its effortless,at times it does the work for me.
im a user from the original prv...now that was difficult.

why do i take offense to people ragging on sonar x1.
because most of the time its a user error, when they finaly figure out it is they either lie or drift away so they need not pull their tail between there legs and admit they were wrong.
the other 25%percent have genuine problems and are venting their frustrations...this isnt the place to do that, this is the place to ask for help or share ideas, not complain the buttons have been moved in this latest version.

with hardware changing everymonth we see new things as well like those delta soundcards not jiving well with the new i7 mobos, exc.

That is a pretty strong statement. I don't think any one DAW is really more complete than others because they all have different strengths. I think Sonar is pretty complete but so are Cubase, Studio One, Reason and Logic.

just work on developing more features like cantabile or forte offer so we can use it as a live host and switch synths patches and fx /ampsims live using midi foot switches and I will sing its praises. You need to open the tracks with FX and amp sims loaded and switch between tracks to use these things live IMHO. It would be too slow to expect the program to load on click but switching an audio input from a guitar to the track with the proper fx/ampsim patch preloaded is how I would envision this working best.

I do love the skyligh GUI interface,I only dtarted computer mixing/music about 3 or 4 years ago and had sonar 8.5 for a few months then sonar x1 came out.At first I did not use sonar 8.5 at all and was trying to use linux but then gave up on that, but the interface was cool, and the ability to dettach each screen is key,Im not sure why other daw do not do that,do any others then sonar x1 do that?protools-nofl studio-no.ableton-no,reason yes but its not as good as sonar.
I love they seem to take customer suggestions unlike any other company,
I love the prochannel although more 3rd party ones would be awesome.\
Ill stop there cause most the other things I like included criticism.
Its not bad to want it to be better but to rant and rave when you miss a sale or you think it is too much money or whATEVER is stupid.

I got a new computer, finally made the plunge into 64 bit. I am running Sonar Producer expanded and I gotta tell ya' This thing rocks! So powerful, so glitch free. I can sit back and make music instead of frantically searching the net trying to solve problems. Thank you Cakewalk! Loyal customer since Sonar 6

From all the DAWS I own and tried, pretty much everything on the market, X1 has the best workflow for my taste, it´s fast and I like to work fast, LOOOVE Quickgrouping. It´s a little thing but you can´t find it in other programs..

People rant about audiosnap, but I think it´s great..

cheers
