Hmm.. I never saw the updated version for download in my store account. I still only have the original shipped on the disc (with guitar-rig not working). I seem to remember there was a link to the corrected version given here in the forum, but I can't seem to find it any longer (however..the search function in this forum is...ehhh...well... not..that..good..).

You have to click on your producer download link, and its there..  in the middle of the page...  1.2 gigabyte file.  its huge.  I'm downloading now..  just to see what this thread was about..

Yeah - and that's the problem. I purchased Sonar X1 as a boxed version, so I only got the registration code without a download link (my on-line purchases like X1-expanded, Z3TA 2, Tassman, brick wall etc., etc. do have that link, but X1 itself.. nope). So - no "corrected" Cori Yarcken file to download...

Hi Folks...

I believe many of you are familiar with the cakewak bundle file for Kori Yarckin's 'Floating'. When I eventually open up the file in Sonar X1 and play it, I noticed that visually the meters of the 'master' bus are clipping, as in, it's in the red region most of the time, though I can't hear any audio distortion. My question is, why is it like that? All these while I thought that the meter readings should never reach into the 'red' region. Hope someone can explain. Thanks.

glisando

The master bus meters on this project will clip, if you, "unmute," the full mix.  this project has a track called, "floating, full mix." that is a complete mix of the song.  If you unmute this, you are combining this mix, with all of the other tracks in the project.  When everything sums together, you get a constant clip...   you need to A.  Listen to the full mix.  B.  Listen to the mix of the other tracks.  C.  Not both.

I also notice one of the drum buses, "drum bus d, drum crush." peaks above zero, but does not cause a clip on the master.

Cheers mate

When I originally posted about the PX64 problem, it was before the revised version with the needed Guitar Rig presets was made available. That download resolved the goofy-sounding guitars problem, but not the PX64-induced clipping problem on the Snare Top track.

I don't recall there being a "full mix" track until I created one myself, but It's been a while since I looked at that project so I could be mistaken... or maybe the latest download includes one...?
