Thank you for that info. I would very much like to try it and figured it might work with the bitbridge thingy (which I have yet to read up on) so you saved me some hassle screwing around with it. I will however be keeping an eye on the software for any 64 bit releases and maybe I'll see if I can get it running elsewhere. I didn't realize it was the people releasing Head Case. That was highly recommended by another fellow on here. Cheers and again thank you for the info and link. EDIT: Actually that fellow mentioned it was working with bit bridge so perhaps it's worth another look. Cheers!

Steve if you have good monitors, crank the volume up with the gain high and you will get real feedback! And try the pinch harmonics!! You also have to try and play with the Tonal Correction EQ, that thing can sculpt your guitar sound however you want. I love it!

That I will... thanks!   Assuming it cooperates with Bitbridge, of course.

Thanks for posting this Glenn
I have Pod Farm and like it, but was never satisfied with the lack of sustain.
I also downloaded Shred from Acme Bar Gig and I like the tones from the amps but was less impressed with the effects section. I had checked the overview video out on you-tube for Guitar Rig 5 and thought it was worth getting at the $50 on sale price. So far I like it.

Grem, I just wanted to let you know that I was a little late getting into work this morning.   Can you guess why?

Just based on my initial tests I do like how Shred sounds *and* feels.  Since I'm pickier about the core amp modeling/cabinet aspect than just about anything else this one just might do it for me.  I tried a few separate VST plugs in series as "stomp box" FX based on Thatsastrat's comment, and that seemed to work OK.   Although the built-in delays and reverbs didn't seem too bad in context.

That's what I'm talking about Steve! You just get lost playing like you did when you first started doing this!! Ah the sheer joy of it!!

ABG makes a free version of iFace. It's a IR program much like Perfect space, but tailored for Speaker IR made by Redwirez . And Redwirez gives away a small set of their Impulse Responses based on a Marshall cab. Those things are worth grabbing!! And it's for free!! And I am sure once you try this stuff you will be a customer. It happened to me!!

Also in the links above LePou makes another free speaker cab sim IR program.

Just trying different speakers with an amp is really fun!! And this is all free!! And these things can be used with Guitar Rig, Amplitube, or any other Amp sim.

Yeah, that's about it.

I just downloaded the trial version of iFace - didn't see an outright free version - but the regular version is only $22 which isn't bad.  Especially when the amp itself is free!

I did try the Lepou amp sim a while back but really didn't care for it.  However, I don't recall whether I tried the cabinet sim too...  What the heck!

I really can't stress enough just how much fun this plug is!! That's why I keep using it even though I have other amp sims. The developer is really keen on user input. So most of what your experiencing is from other users!! The developers are also very accomplished guitarist themselves.

If you play guitar you really need to just check this out. And for all the keyboard players, try this plug with your favorite synth!! You'd be surprised.
