Congrats on the new toy hope you have lots of fun.

Can I ask a couple of questions? well I am going to ask anyway
How are you entering the midi data? do you have a controler?
What toys i.e. soft synths are you using?

Sounds good but some of the midi data sounds a little well a little to on the nail.

Nice tune though thanks for sharing

Hi John, don't have a midi controller, just put in the notes with my trusty mouse. This is an old piece, sounds were dimension LE. In this case I remixed the rendered stems. I'm not feeling well enough to work in prv, don't have the concentration or the dexterity whilst in bed ; )

Hi Rik sorry to hear you are still unwell, know how you feel.  If you fancy it one easy trick to make things sound just a bit more real and your synth voice is set to vary volume and perhaps filter to note velocity is to run one of the standard CAL's that comes with SONAR.  The CAL is "vary velocity" just give a velocity variation of about 10 to 15 points i.e. 95 to 110 and this will just add a bit a feel to it.

Wishing you feel better soon.

Hi John, thanks for the tips, tried to incorporate them. Varied the velocities a bit and tried to make the strings a bit more interesting. Added some woodwinds to the mix from dim pro. I used a midi effect to vary the velocities. I never looked at cal, will do in the future. My head hurts now ; )
