To your point, IMO, as long as it's in the Coffee House, it seems OK to me. But in the other subforums,  I agree with keeping the noise level down.
 
And I've been guilty of adding noise.

 I shut mine down.  I like the stuff to cool off.  Plus I got those gamer type cases where you can mount 72 fans.  They only way you can define silent cooling is by shutting them down. They are in an 8x12 room with ceramic tile. If I need some heat in my rook I boot all 4 systems.

Not 4 me.

Just curious, but why not?  My last DAW had NINE(!) very loud fans and was a pain to keep quiet (tried keeping it in its own padded room even).  My newest PC has liquid cooling and is very quiet.
